Welcome to the New Mad for Reading App!

This year, MMSD Libraries are introducing the Mad for Reading App (powered by Beanstack) to make reading fun, easy to track and rewarding for students of all ages.

Here’s how it works: Any kind of reading counts…fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, articles, audiobooks or even being read to by a teacher or family member.

By logging their reading, students can:

• Earn digital badges for reaching milestones and completing fun challenges Become eligible for other community incentives
• Build streaks by reading every day
• See everything they’ve read on a personal virtual bookshelf

Our goal: Read for about 10 minutes most evenings and help our district reach a shared goal of 2.6 million minutes this school year!

Getting started is simple! View this flyer for support.

• At school: Students can log in through their device using Classlink.
• At home: Families can download the Beanstack mobile app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Use your student’s Classlink username (ID number) to connect home and school reading minutes.
